SIT AND STAND STROLLERS ARE PERFECT FOR INFANTS AND TODDLERS ON THE GO

My 3 year old daughter’s nursery school is a mile walk from our apartment. As such, our stroller isn’t just a luxury, but a necessity for both her younger brother and her, when she wants to take a rest. She’s a good walker, but occasionally enjoys hitching a ride in the Joey toddler seat attached to our Joovy Caboose Stand On Tandem Stroller. She loves the toddler seat because she feels “like a big girl” since she is not actually strapped into the stroller. I love it because it is light and easily collapses when it holds no passengers.

Since my daughter goes to nursery school midafternoon a few days a week, we have time to play at home or go to the park before she goes to school. Sometimes, in an effort to break up the long trek there, I will take her and my son to a park equidistant between our home and the preschool.  Frequently, she will bring her doll stroller and walk beside me, pushing it as I guide us through the park. Later, while she’s in class, I will either run errands or play with my son in the park, her babydoll and baby carriage tucked into the storage basket of our stroller.

My sit and stand stroller and toddler seat are perfect for the active lifestyle of my family. My son gets to accompany his big sister on her outings and my daughter gets to safely explore her own independence with the knowledge that she can still always hitch a ride with mom.

BABY STROLLERS FOR MY DAUGHTER

When my daughter was younger, she loved to emulate me. If she was not helping me with her baby brother, she would be tending to her baby dolls like I tended to him. She would feed her doll while I fed her brother, and then we would burp the two of them together.

She would push her favorite doll in a doll stroller, sometimes even while I was pushing my son in the baby stroller. When her toy carriage broke, I decided to buy her a new one from Valco Baby, which is where I bought the children’s real strollers. I reasoned that if the toy stroller was made anything like the company’s other products it would last a long time.

My theory proved to be very accurate. The fake one was made with the same care and precision as the real one. The former was modeled after the latter; it included a sunshade and large storage basket in which she kept her own set of toy bottles and snacks.

Frequently, she would forgo the pretend play in favor of riding in the stroller with her brother. The stroller I used could be converted from single seat stroller into a double stroller with the addition of a toddler seat. This way, when she got tired of walking she could sit beside her brother, hang out with him, and take in the sights, as I pushed both of them along.

31 DAYS TO A BETTER ORDINARY DAY 2 & 3

Day 2- Morning To-Do Redo: With the many goals of the new year getting into a routine is main one for me. I have decided to make some changes to my routine to make sure that I get my quiet time in before everything else. This may a long morning routine but I really need to put down every detail.
 5:15: Up and Make Coffee
5:15-6 Quiet time
6:00-6:45- Get Kenny up and moving, check fb, check e-mail, work on blog, get my daily list ready. Organize anything that needs to be done before other kids get up.
6:45-7:30- Still trying to figure out what to put here, everyone is still asleep (Maybe more quiet time).
7:30-8:20- Wake up Hubby, and other kids. Get then ready to leave, start laundry, make sure kids have done chores, get everyone out the door.
8:20-9- More of a blank spot. Chat with ladies, finish up any computer work.
9:00-9:30- Start my daily work.
9:30-10:00- Work on at least one de-clutter area.

This is a rough draft that over time will be updated.

Day 3: The Weekly Calender: With this day I was suppose to set a weekly calender. I already have my desk calender with everything for the week on it.

How do you organize your mornings? How do you organize your week?

BETTER LATE THEN NEVER (31 DAYS TO A BETTER ORDINARY)

This is an old challenge ran at "Gospelhomemaking.com" but with on of my goals this new year to get my life better organized I will be doing it.

Day 1 is  Calender System:
I know everyone is going to electronic calenders and that is fine but as for me not to crazy about it. I have two calenders that I use in my home.

First, is the desk calender could not live without it. It is nice having the calender right in font of me all the time so that I can jot down what needs to be done when,

Second is my purse planner. This one is really nice when I am out and about and need to set an appointment or need to add something to my to-do list.

With this being said I have the calenders but at times do not keep them up to do date. So starting this week I will make sure that on Sunday evenings I sit down and coordinate all both of my calenders.

What type of calenders do you have? What is your system for keeping them all up to date?

2012 GOALS

Another year is here and with that new year comes some new goals for my life. This year will bring at least one major change, we are adding another baby to our lives in March. This is a big adjustment to me considering that my youngest is 8. With this change coming into our lives changes need to be made along with changes that need to be made regardless of the fact of a new baby. So here goes the list I have some links to help me accomplish some of these goals.

* Spend more time with the Lord, this will be done during daily quiet time, attending church and worshiping  Him in whatever task I do during the day. Beginning January 16th I will be participating in the Ephesians study here at Good Morning Girls.

*Build better more positive relationships with my family. I am participating in the "30 Days to Build a Better Spouse Power of Prayer". To start will my children I will be following The Gentleness Challenge from the "Women Living Well Blog.

* Find a job. I just got Associated degree in Medical Transcription and am really looking forward to obtaining employment in that area.

*Become a better homemaker. There are so many links that I am following for this, I will post one of them each week.

*Work on my blog, become more frequent and get Iron Women going again.

What are some of your goals for 2012? I wish everyone luck with there new adventures of 2012

WHAT THE LORD WANTS DONE

Lately my house has been to say the least in chaos. There is no since of structure routine or since of getting anything done. I have recently been praying why this is happening and this is what the Lord has lead me to believe.

1) I do not ask the Lord what he wants me to accomplish for the day.

2) I have not been faithful in starting my day with the Lord.

3) When the motivation has left me to the things that need to be done, I do not turn to the Lord to continue to give me the motivation I need.

I feel overwhelmed and lost a lot of the time. This is all because the Lord has not had his place where it should  be and the is First. Life is not always easy but when once we put the Lord in the right place, thing become  a little easier.

What are some reasons that you ensure the Lord is first in your day?
